Class 9/13

I wasn't called again for a tech news report!  It's alright though, I volunteered and presented my bit about Mozilla Firefox 4.0.  That random name generator must hate me.  Watch me get called on every class for the rest of the term after that last comment.

The main topic I took from the lecture was "knowledge".  I learned the difference between explicit and tacit knowledge.  I also learned how important it is to become a "knowledge worker" as continue on in my academic career and throughout my future professional career.  Become unique, become indispensable, become a KNOWLEDGE WORKER.

Grade for the class:  A

  1. I don't golf as much as I "should" (when I played 4-5 times a week, my game got pretty good; presently, playing 1-2 times a month, my game has fallen apart). I tend to play where my partners prefer to go; so it's public courses like Green River, and semi-public courses like Stawberry Farms.

You are learning to be a knowledge worker. But it's a lifetime job...continually, there are new ideas out there that you have to master. It's like machinery that depreciates--you have to keep investing in it (and in your brainpower) to keep it productive....
